About the college
JSS Institute of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (JSS INYS) is a deliberate step towards creating awareness on Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences through quality education and extending Holistic Health Care for those who lead a stressful lifestyle, owing to modern day pressures. JSS INYS intends to set the highest of standards in naturopathic treatment by adhering to sheer professionalism and compassion. As for the Institute, the best of teachers and most relevant syllabi ensures JSS INYS to reach its hallmark in imparting this education.
J.S.S. Institute of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences was established in the year 1997 in the picturesque landscape of Ooty by J.S.S. Mahavidyapeetha, Mysore. The institute offers a 5½ year degree course in complementary and alternative medicine i.e., Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (B.N.Y.S). This is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai and is recognised by the Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN) under the Government of India Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi. Recognised by Govt. of Tamil Nadu. The students will have the benefit of getting a complete clinical and practical training as the college is attached to a 60 bed Nature Cure and Yoga Hospital. It is a unique hospital, well known for its treatment versatility and the facilities provided to the patients. In the case of candidates, who have furnished the marks sheets of the qualifying examination, only in GRADES the minimum marks of the grades alone will be taken in to consideration while determining the marks in the science subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Botany and Zoology.
